I named my new shepherd pup Roger and get laughed at when ever someone asks his name. My son is a radio broadcasting major, so Roger Wilco, or with our last name you get"007"...I liked it!
I like Yetti, Crete as in "concrete", Uri is good, I knew a police dog with that name, great dog!
I think Harvey is a perfectly acceptable name.
If I remember the story right, Harvey led Jimmy in and out of trouble and in the end showed him the errors of his ways.
Levi (Levi jeans last forever)I named a cat that got left by his mom at two days old this, vet said he wouldn't survive... we'll me and Levi proved her wrong, he was huge, tough, barn cat... that liked to cuddle and give kisses :P
Vincent (Shepherd) not the name he came with (was Jake but had to be changed for many reasons – loved the name Jake though).
Garrett (Husky) was a choice between Bartholemew (Bart), Dillon and of course Garrett. Mixed with our last name (Garrett Barrett) always gets a chuckle and it stuck. He gets called “little Gee Bees” more than anything though.
And the malamute cross is Echo, he howled in the mountains as a baby and little Echo stuck.
So in light of the fun we’ve with Garrett’s name I was looking at your last name – Colvett.
What about Brett, Rhett, Everett, Corvette, Rocket. I thought maybe Rhett Colvett had a nice ring to it (masculine guy in Gone with the Wind) tough guy association.
Turned on the tv, realized I've been overlooking the only name for my canine guardian..... LJ.... short for Leroy Jethro. Anybody know my favorite TV show (and favorite tough, masculine hunk)? Not so much a masculine or tough name, but not as goofy as Harvey.
I've enjoyed the post, and I'm sure lots of good names will be given to future pups!
