I've been accused of ... abusing him because he was pulling a scooter.
Got the same once when I had two Siberian Huskies and I'd have them run and pull me on my bike. Lady told me that it was "cruel to make those majestic creatures of the natural world do that sort of work."
T'was one of the few times in my life when I was at a loss for something to say. Just speechless I was.
I like when they ask "Do they bite" while reaching for their face!
I had a couple young boys do this one day - I replied, "sometimes"...
their hands recoiled at lightening speed and they both backed up - I've never seen a kid look so scared!
Not that Oscar does bite, or that I want to encourage a fear of dogs, but honestly... where's the common sense in not asking permission first??
I like this one! Made me lol. How could she not know what her rescue is? Don't shelters/rescues guess at what a dog is anymore, lol.
Yup- if they're black and tan their either a hound or shepherd mix. Black and white means border collie mix - even if the facial features scream pit bull. Merle means aussie mix. Lab mix is the general catch all for a dog weighing 30-90# with any ear set that isn't pricked.
When people see me using a prong collar they mention that they would not use such a thing on their dog, it's just cruel. I mention that it's only for training the young dog until he doesn't pull anymore while walking. I think having my arm in a sling from a dislocated shoulder is much more cruel!
The question that always makes me nuts is the one you get from the other people out with their dogs (usually off leash and not under voice control), "Is your dog friendly?"
Now, they're not asking, "can my dog(s) meet yours?," but that's what they seem to think they're asking, because they tend to send their dogs immediately after that stuipd question.
I forgot a fun one. There's a dog friendly store down the street from us. The manager banned Ryuk from the store not because he did something but because "wolves aren't welcome"
luckily the owner overturned that verdict because she likes my "wolf"
Ryuk is 50lbs, and looks NOTHING like a wolf.....NOTHING
