If Dan wants to use yes as a bridge and okay as the mark, I don't see the problem.

Hello all. nine weeks old pup. As I get the sit I market it, pause then reward, so far so good. Now moving to the down, the pup bites and tries to get the reward natural, don't know about the bite part? Here comes my biggest problem. As doing above, he downs correctly, I give the YES, but then he rolls on his side hip. I am already committed to the Yes, Should I still Give the reward for completing the down correctly? But, the roll on hip that is not the position I want. I thought It was the linoleum, so I moved to hard wood. OK but after one or two go downs he goes back to the roll on his side. Maybe just slow down and keep working? What do you say. Dan
Because yes marks and releases him, I don't think what he does after matters much until your working on him holding the position. Whats important is only marking the correct down.
I would do it on a different surface altogether though. Something not slick. I would also try to pick up the pace a little so that instead of rolling over to relax, he comes back up quickly looking to do more.

So Dan, are you luring the down or does the pup already know a proper down at 9 weeks old by voice command only?

IMO, he is not bridging anything, besides a bridge to a bad down

.... there is not a mark (whatever the word is) AND a separate release command. The mark word is the release.
Me too. The marker is also the release: "command is done and done right."
Duration of the correct position can be introduced*, of course, but once the marker is given, it doesn't matter what the dog does. The marker told him "done and done right."
* with an intermediate bridge, but that may be just confusing the O.P.'s issue at this point

Oh Sohh! Ok Scott. I thought as I use Yes as a marker, (Let used say sit,) pause and reward. The last exercise was sit. So I thought I needed a release command there is were I mistook the OK. meaning we are ready for another exercise. My mistake, I see is an ongoing flowing one after the other exercise. Let me know if I am off mark again. Dan
