Organic Pet Digest markets Bark collars for dogs less than 8 lbs, and more than 8 pounds. I have never used a bark collar, so I am not sure how reliable they are. Keith's suggestion sounds good, I like Dogtra e collars.

Seriously, do any of the pet stores (Petco is it?) have the citronella spray collars?

They're popular over here, and I think they do them for wee dogs too. Depends if you like the 'spray' effect rather than a stim.
I believe these collars work off the noise the dog makes - a bit like throat mikes - and are adjustable.

I've seen them of JRT size dogs so they might be a solution?

We do have the citronella collars here. I have heard that if they are not adjusted properly, the microphone can deliver a spray when other dogs bark, Will has other dogs so he would need to research that, plus the spray does stain....Fetz could have fun with that!

Citro collars aren't really great imo or consistent, just like those ultra sonic ones.

Tammy the little dog bark collar by Petsafe is only rated down to 8lbs. That's the only small dog collar I've found on that site. For less price usually you can get a tritronics collar as well.

Hi Melissa, this was in my magazine, but it doesn't actually say it is the Petsafe model. The Deluxe, Petsafe, is for dogs 8 pounds and up and states not for dogs smaller. If Will's dog is 10 pounds this would be ok, for dogs smaller they have this...

Okay, I am cut and pasting this listing only for the last sentence in the last paragraph and so you know what model it is.....somehow I found that last bit both funny and disturbing. I am just picturing this dog getting toasted!

I am thankful my 'barks with hair on them' are biddable and soft and are learning "enough" quickly now that I have the ENTIRE family in on the work.

I will say too that a good friend who has always done small and toy breeds swears by the ultrasonic box that covers a room. I don't like it 'cause I have birds and sugar gliders and that has to be wrong for them.
