Michael, I have the same problem, just not that sophisticated. As I use a tug he loves it, but the tug is too big, so he looses interest. he also love the tennis ball, sometime he goes for it. sometime he seems to say are you kidding, too far. but if I bring out a towel or a cloth, his prey drive goes way up. my opinion are the toys are too big for the four to five months old pup mouth, I made a flirt pole out of bamboo fishing poll, using a fishing line and a face towel, His prey drive goes up several notch. I will use the Chamois down the road. Dan

Michael - the answer to your question isnt a simple "do this or do that" - it comes down to what the foundation has been up to this point and knowing how you are layering in these various prey items.
I didnt look to see what you have bought from us - but what you should have is THE POWER OF USING FOOD TO TRAIN YOUR DOG http://leerburg.com/220.htm and THE POWER OF PLAYING TUG WITH YOUR DOG http://leerburg.com/221.htm . There are 9 1/2 hours of training information in these two DVDs - way more than can be broken down into an email or forum answer.
While your question is about tug problems the foundation to the training is started with developing a language to communicate when you learn how to use food in training.
Bottom line is this is not a dog problem it's an "owner training" problem.
