I just take a SchutzHund obed skill and throw a little showmanship to it. my favourite is the cellphone call trick. I attatch my cell phone to Erika's collar, I have it on vibrate, I'll put her on platz about fifty yards away and have a group of kids yell at her trying to call her in. She'll just stay in the down position, then I ask somebody to use there cell phone and call "Erika's Cell" the phone will vibrate and she comes running in, I take the phone off her and show the caller the calls recieved.
Haven't done it in years but I taught a few of my dogs to shake. Literally!
When they got a bath I would hold them till they were finished and as I said "shake" I turned them loose.
It doesn't take long for them to put it together and I LOVED IT when folks would ask the dogs to "shake".
They people usually just stood there with mouth open and a "WTF" look on their faces.
It was super easy when I was doing the show dog thing as they got bathed often.
My best performer at it was a Kerry Blue Terrier named Rocky. He seemed to get as much kick out of it as I did.
Oh, forgot one. I taught my sheltie to 'whisper' She figured out the difference between 'Speak' and 'Whisper' pretty quickly. 'Speak' was an actual bark and 'Whisper' was the mumbling thing she did. She eventually learned that my finger to my lips was the signal for 'Whisper.' People loved her volume control - really handy with a sheltie named Chatter. lol
