Something must be wrong with me. I go out of my way to help preserve my dog's dignity. No costumes, no funny hats, no dye.
While playing last night Ripley accidentally whacked his playmate in the head with a branch he was carrying around. I felt guilty for laughing, but it was very, very funny.
The thing is...the dog doesn't care as long as it's not making them uncomfortable XD
or else my dog would have murdered me with a bully stick to the eye when (a week after I got him neutered) I dressed him up as a fairy princess (dress, wings, taught him to hold and wave his heart shaped want, EVERYTHING) for halloween and entered him in a pet costume contest.....if that's not an argument for "dog doesn't care he looks like" I don't know what is....
I don't dye my dogs and have no inclination to do so but have a friend who is a groomer who occasionally dyes her one aussie as a walking advertisement so to speak. The whole tiger deal? Well, that strikes as a bit bizarre.
With that said, I have been known to dress my dogs up. Hell, Frost has won over 6 grand in prizes/cash alone for her costumes Her "diginity" has remained intact because she does not even realize that some would consider it undignified :-p To each their own.

One look at Frost and you know she'd be up to try any game. I'm still thinking of her expression in that ribbon photo.
Ripley, however, acts like I'm killing him if I put on his Swamp Cooler. Somehow, with that thing on his back he's not able to walk correctly unless yummy treats are produced.
