Thanks for all your replies, great suggestions. I have tried to take him to a doggie daycare to help calm him and tire him out, he was kicked out for being dog aggressive with only the weaker dogs. I never had any x-rays or a CT. scan on Otis. I guess the neurologist came to his conclusion by just observig Otis. I want to keep this dog but I don't want to be bit. This morning I was very upset, Otis stays in the bathroom with me in the morning, so he doesn't jump on the bed and wake up my husband.(no door on the bedroom) anyway, I put a blanket on the floor with a toy and all I said was lay down Otis(nicely)and I went to pet him and he growled and went for my hand. I put him in his crate, as I shut the door on the crate his lip was going up and he was still growling. I came to the conclusion that maybe I can't keep him , if he is going to be this unpredictable. I put a call in to my vet to see if she has any suggestions, I am waiting for her call. I was told that clomicalm can cause aggression, has anyone heard this....I am sad today <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
Almost any medication for calmness may have as a side effect that the dog becomes more hyper. You just have to try them on it. If this doesn't work, Prozac has worked well for us and our Mini.
If you can't be a Good Example, then You'll just have to Serve as a Horrible Warning. Catherine Aird.
