So true. Breeding really comes into play with the Pits, also, probably more so than any other breed. Some of the Pits I see today have no resemblance to the true type. When I was dumb and used to do the dog park thing, one guy brought his intact male pit to the park. This dog was very friendly, but looked incredibly scary. His head was about two sizes too big for his body, which was very squat and low to the ground. Not at all what a real pit looks like. But when asked what kind of dog it was, the guy replied with a great deal of pride "He's 100% pure bred American Pit Bull!". On the other hand, I've seen some very nice looking ones, too. My friend has a Pit/Mastiff/Lab mix. She looks like an overgrown pit (she's probably about 90 pounds, pure muscle), and she is the sweetest, most even tempered dog that I have ever met. She is a damn good dog.

Try a Huskie or a Huskie/GSD mixed.

That sounds like a pretty dog, does he/she have blue or gray eyes. I've never worked with Huskies, though I have some friends that own several, they are just pets. Good looking dog, are they good in work outside of sled dogs, with tremendous stamina. How do they handle Ob training is this were you see their stuborn traits. I've heard that they don't like repetition
is this true. But I bet they don't try to bite you because you ask them to move off the bed or push over when you tell him to move????? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
