Sorry, I guess it wasn't a question but need for clarification...
I was wanting to clarify, a breeding is planned to produce X (whether it be show, field, work...) and people go to purchase from a particular pup for that X quality the litter was inteded to be. So to me it would make sense that if you want a working dog, you would prefer to pick from lines that work...not a combined pairing.
Thanks to you both for replying.....
The end result of the pup and what its accommplishments are is a crapshoot, that I understand. No one has a future looking glass.

Edit reason: typo
I don't know much about pedigrees, I see some of the same names there as on my dogs, but I'd add to what Aaron is saying that they make an offer to show anyone their dogs working ability. I'd make time to go see. Concentrate on the ob more then any biting. It will give you a good idea of what they actually do and know about their dogs.
Aaron brought up a very good point about the pedigrees.
Be careful if you see a lot of line breeding in there. Some impressive dogs come from line breeding, but you have to really 100% do your research and be able to trust the breeder you are working with.
If you see lot of line breeding in the pedigrees make sure to ask about the traits that the particular dog(s) bring to the breeding. Ask about any potential drawbacks, too. .
