You might consider a stun baton. If it is legal in your area, you can find a supplier with a google seatch. Some of them make a very loud sound by just opening them, that alone might scare off the less aggressive offenders. However, if you go this route Eddie will need to be conditioned to the sound.
Wow these are great ideas from everyone!
lots to think about.
I really appreciate everyone's thoughts and ideas.
I for sure am going to use the pvc holder for the chair!!!!
Now I have to figure what to put in it.......
Steve: I was going to go with a dressage whip...that's a kind of horse whip if you don't know....but I was worried that it wouldn't hold up to a determined dog.......what do you think about this:
I like the cattle prod idea and the stun baton....i will have to think about it........
lol, the giant squirt gun might do it too.....but not for everyday.....but it would have been perfect at the 4th of July party!
Thanks again!!!!!

Thats probably what I meant Willie, I have one that was given to me. But your right, I don't anything about horses. Sometimes though I find it pretty interesting, the similarities between dog training and Parelli horse training. The lady I work with does that.
If they make a small, hand-gun version, this would be great! Although the ones we have are not huge and might work perfectly! Plus, you have the added benefit of being able to identify the culprit afterwards...
