oh one day I hope someone tries to handle Erika like that, it would be most entertaining
That would be a video I would like to see too, and I was thinking the same thoughts about Murphy. He's a nice guy, but wouldn't take being man-handled by a stranger very well
My female would probably look at me & then 'deal with it' if she had to, depending on the person & the circumstances under which it was tried, but my male would not be happy about it at all & would turn to take a bite.
I just don't allow anyone to interact with my dogs OUT IN PUBLIC. At hone with my 'ok' it is fine. Even then I have to keep an eye on my male.
I suppose you'll pass on future trips to the park with her boyfriend, then?
Yep! You bet! I hope my friend will break up with her boyfriend and find a better boyfriend or stay SINGLE! That was totally not cool. How can he do this when he doesn't know me very well and met my dogs for the first time? I hope my friend is going to be protective of her dog around him.

yeah it was... I'm glad that he didn't fall for the fool and followed me out to my car when I had to walk Peanut and Roo. I told my sister what happened she said that she didn't like the guy when we had him over for dinner the other day. Umm... I guess it says something.

I'd tell your friend to pick a different boyfriend the next time you meet up with her!
I don't like people messing with my dogs!
I'm going to have a talk with my friend about her boyfriend! I hope she listens to what I have to say about this early morning. I don't like to mess up with other people's dogs either and I don't want anyone to mess with my dogs either.
Like Dennis said I'm sure this has to do something about being a MACHO..
"It's better to be an optimist who is sometimes wrong than a pessimist who is always right"
I could see how that would be bothersome.
I didn't read anything that I would have let negatively affect my day though.
Maybe he is interested in dogs, maybe he wants to learn.
There is nothing wrong with setting some ground rules for strangers handling your dogs. I think we all do that in one way or another. I know I do in public all the time. But, in the process I try and teach them something.
All in all the dog was off leash and around people freely. Truthfully, I hate to sound like the bad guy, but this case border lines on handler error.
There is an old saying in the horse world that I teach my riders. I also tell dog training students the same thing.
"You cant control the world, all you can do is control your horse/dog"
