Thanks! It was great, and she did awesome. I'm amazed by her.
We did a five hour easy trip...just a few swift places, and stopped to swim along the way. It was HEAVEN! My oldest sister and I are ready for some rapids though...planning to go on the New River before it gets to cold. THen when we pulled into the boat ramp, some family was waiting with a tailgate party.

You probably already know this, but that is an incredibly beautiful area! We did the Gauley River back in 1987 - THAT was a hoot! We had intended to do the New, but the water table was too low, so we were moved to the Gauley. THANK goodness the water table was down a bit - it was rather an "exciting" trip, but awesome. Really, really beautiful area however.
If its the same one I know of, Gauley River is only a few hours from me. Everytime I have to drive over the bridge I nearly have heart palpitations. I am SO afraid of high bridges. We should plan a Leerburg picnic there one year when my dog is out of his "complete disgrace" phase! Lol
Lisa - Plan a vacation in WV, and me and my siters will take you out!
Barbara - It is beautiful. I've been to the Gauley too. I like it best when the water is rough...appeals to my adventurous side!!
Jessica - I thought the same thing!!! I wonder how many would live close enough to attend? How cool would it be to meet?!? We should plan on next summer. THat would be way in advance to ensure optimum attendance!
