Thanks for the explanation of Beaver Fever CJ. I really don't think about Canadian terms like that...like asking someone if they have their toque with them (winter hat).
To answer your question Jennifer Tobias is on a dog food, that is made local to where I live, and it's considered human grade. It's made up of salmon, potato, and stuff like that. The vet we take him too said it was a good one for him, because he has a sensitive stomach, high fat meat like beef, poultry or pork is too much for him.

I know, we’re just weird. I’m sure we have our forefathers to thank for that. I’m conscious about a few things and try not to let it spill too much but stuff like Beaver Fever, I think I knew that word before kindergarten. No drinkin’ in the crik….
Hey, my vet called it that and I’m sure yours did too (bad year for BF), so we’re not the only ones flying our freak flags. I’m bad for rockin’ the toque too. As common place as mitts.
At least the wonderful folks here are nice and pleasant about makin’ allowances for us foreigners. I felt silly writing that post but hey, it was either you or me sharin’ the “culture”. Figured I’d take the fall.
Now Jennifer's thought there... never thought of it that way...

It makes me sad that so many places are losing their unique regional differences here in the states.

Meredith - I agree 100%. It IS important for the United States - each and every one of them, to maintain what it is which makes us all unique.
(My apologies to all my southern neighbors for my horrific southern "representation"... :blush
Virginia has the best crab cakes, wonderful beaches, awesome mountains... yo' can't touch 'this.
Best crab cakes? I bet your Maryland neighbors think those are fighting words.
Thanks for the Southern hospitality, Barbara.
I've wanted to see pony penning days on Assateague island since childhood (like every other little girl that read "Misty".). I'll get there someday.
