but I wouldn't deal with him....guy is a total jerk
He doesn't have dogs anyways, he has monsters. Don't let the GSD costume fool you.
Back to the OP, I agree with others that you shouldn't focus on color. There are many working line dogs out there that are black. Just keep looking around.

I just looked at a couple of the pedigrees on the site real quick and saw primarily show lines. They seemed to have a mish mash of Canadian/American show, some German Showlines, and one of the dogs did have a some working lines in it.
If you are looking for working lines I don't think you are going to find it there.
I know it shouldn't matter about color but more about the lines in which they comes from. Its just I got to meet a working all black west german a couple of months ago. He was a foster and was gorgeous and then I wanted an exact image. I am looking to find a something maybe spring/summer. But need to make sure things are going good all around with my other little baby clover my female gsd who is wrapped around my finger lol.

I know what you mean. I'm gaga for a dark sable myself. Black is not uncommon and if you spend your time looking you should be able to find what you want!
I'd recommend that Virginia guy in a second! Dennis has spent more times learning about dogs then most breeders have time breeding.
I'm not all that, GSDs want to learn, it's just a matter of what is the most effective way to get the trainer to do what the German Shepherd wants him to do.
