Congrats! Looks like a cute little devil. Name?
He is from an "F" litter, so I named him Faroh.
Phaedra, it should be Pharoh!
Doh!
Maybe Fpharoh, with a silent "f"?

You know better than that.....You won't be able to sleep for the next 10 days for thinkin' about that puppy.

My original plan was to crate, tether, or longline at all times... input?
1. crate (at least 2 - for the home and for the car)
2. tether (drag line, pull tab and leash with a handle)
3. long line
4. x-pen
5. about 100000 microfiber towels for the cleanup
I am sure the list is longer but that is the barest minimum
Psst! They got this leather collar sale going!

You're probably right. But last night I slept like a log. Some people like to kick back on the weekend, get some R&R... not me! I prefer a fun filled weekend on-call shift at the only emerg vet for many, many... many miles... got my fill of some good old P&P*!

Crate - got a couple, various sizes, plan to get a really big wire one for the bedroom, and use the divider until he needs the space. Have a plastic one for the deck and truck.
Tether - I have more leash type items than any one person, or perhaps group of people should own.
Long line - on my to do list, I plan to make one this week.
X-pen - I gave into the positive pressure... picked up a second hand one today for $30!
Clean up - what clean up (still in denial)
Next on my list - I still haven't puppy proofed anything...
I have a couple nice Silverfoot collars for him. I'm planning on getting some nice leather ones when he gets bigger. The shipping, plus the added HST makes it not such a deal.

I like that pup!
I knew a dog named Faroh, I'd keep the spelling if you like it.

Thank Tammy!
Oh yes, I will keep the spelling, I'm pretty sure Barbara was just kidding, I know I was.
I actually had a husky cross dog (I use that term loosely, because he was found feral with the rest of his litter and mom, living in the woods at about 5 months old, so he was more of a 'wild creature'), named Pharoh for a short time, and I really like the name. I certainly learned a lot about behaviour from him. If anyone is good at guessing breeds, have at it, I'd love to hear what you think!
This litter was the "F" litter for the breeder, so I had to pick a name starting with "F" for the registration. I thought Faroh would be perfect, because I love the sound of it, but I had such a nightmare living with that other dog, that a new spelling is in order!

TWO MORE SLEEPS. I'm losing it a little bit. I keep reminding myself, "it's just a dog"... but then, most of us wouldn't be here if we really felt that way, now would we!
I've rearranged my room, for maximum puppy efficiency, pretty much proofed the house, have 3 crates set up (home, truck, work) and everything else under the sun... I think. Now, it's out of mine and the breeder's hands, and into the airline's hands to get him here, safely! That makes me a bit nervous. I have a bag packed for my 800km round trip to the airport with towels, food, water, bully sticks, frozen stuffed kong, chew toy, first aid kit, leash/collar (extra leash & harness, just in case ), and of course, a camera!
It's strange to think that in 2 days, this tiny little creature is going to take over my world!

Go over everything, check the puppy proofing, check the supplies, then check again in case you forgot something. Check if the food is really fresh or you need to run to the store to get the very freshest one. That'll take some time Then look at your pup's pedigree, the pics, the parents pics, GSD pics, youtube videos - you pup will be there before you know it!
