thanks for the training tip Lynne, Randy, thanks for your input, he is more of a show line giant and not a working line, so his drive is a tad less....but I do know what you mean, I have read up on the breed and they go through a teenager rebellion phase around his age now.
I am considering ordering a prong collar, simply for corrections on the commands he knows 110%, sit, down, stay etc...we do pretty much the NILF program, he has to sit stay for everything...I just feel like corrections at this juncture for the dog issue may not help...i think I need to reinforce our engagement, train a command, watch me etc...and then start at a park far away from other dogs and people and marker train this way, gradually getting closer to the dogs etc...and once he knows this command and he is much better around other dogs I will start correcting for disobience at this point...but i totally get what you are saying...he is an excellant dog, but he is acting out more then he used to, hence we are being way stricter on the house rules and doing OB everyday....if there is anything you would like to add Randy as to your thoughts on stopping any unwanted behavior now or how to go about it please let me know....thanks for the help....
