Have you asked the kids? Chances are they'd be thrilled to be a part of her costume design. And I've found that these kids can come up with some bright ideas.
Drift isn't supposed to be a "scary" wolf. The little kids are writing a story that has a wolf in it, and they want Drift. From what I have been able to hear so far, the story is kind of like a 3 bears thing, only it's a wolf... the kids are adding additional costumes... I just have to provide the "wolf"
Since they have asked me if she will wear a hat, shoes and a dress, I am thinking it's gonna be a "Drift Dress Up" session
And yes, she is tremendously tolerant of such doings. Today we all played "duck, duck, goose" and she laid in the middle of the circle chewing a bone while the kids ran around like nuts.
I will provide pics of Drift as a wolf, as well as whatever the kids end up putting on her The party is on the 29th...

I can't wait for the pics!
So Drift will be kind of of an improv performer?
I can picture her lying there calmly chewing while chaos circles around her. A dog with this kind of confidence and calmness is just priceless.
I have a Mr. Calming Signals dog (who in fact comes along to model his demeanor for reactive dogs, more than earning his keep). But even he would be doing some serious sighing and eye-rolling with "Since they have asked me if she will wear a hat, shoes and a dress, I am thinking it's gonna be a "Drift Dress Up" session."
Drift is one-of-a-kind, and she has truly found her work in life, hasn't she?
The story/play should be interesting.. the last one was "Don't Ever Pick Your Nose" so who knows what they will come up with. These kids are all so creative it's scary!! The little ones come up with the storyline and the older ones help them with the "set" and costumes. It really teaches the older kids patience
Drift really is one of a kind, and I couldn't have found a better dog for this work if I had looked for years She just ROCKS!!!

"Don't Ever Pick Your Nose" would be a tough act to follow ....

Did they every read the story The Adventures of Dakota?
A story about a friendly Wolf that teaches kids about coping, problem solving, and other life experiences. Sounds like Drift could be that Wolf! It will bee interesting to hear what they come up with.
I have never heard of The Adventures of Dakota, but I just looked it up and it looks like it would be PERFECT for our younger group!! Thanks for the suggestion Tammy!!!!
I highly recommend Goodwill :-) Frost's last three halloween costumes were things that I put together from Goodwill. I am embarassed to admit I know that she wears 4T in pants :-p
