No doubt that's the problem trying to keep them from getting slobbered on and wet, good luck. The tugs Zooey (my dog) tore up had plastic covering the internals I think to help prevent some the soaking they get.
If I let Zoey choose all she would want is the rubber orange & blue chuck it ball and it has to be the orange & blue rubber one.
I'll hold her fav tug and the orange & Blue chuck it ball move them back and forth in front of her face and she follows focused on the ball every time. I even tried it with a piece of chicken and she chose the ball, funny.
Kyle,
I don't think your dog should get 'fixed' on any one type of material. So a variety is important, it shouldn't make any difference what he bites. Does that make sense?
For suits and sleeves I would keep some linen around, but once again it shouldn't matter from the dogs perspective....a bite is a bite is a bite.
For tugs, keep some variety around, leather, firehose, jute, syn-tech, etc. Use them interchangeably.
But for longevity I vote the syn-tech fiber that LB sells.

Thanks Randy
Yeah that makes perfect sense and she is not fixed by any means i have a rope that she will bite and a soccer ball that she bites fine, i kinda phased those out just beacause they are difficult if not immposible to hide on me, and difficult to control. I was looking at the mini bite pillow on LB I cant tell if its synthetic or not and all the other bite pillows i saw on LB were jute. Any thoughts on the synthetic leg sleeves for starting bite work, I am going to make an order soon so gonna try to group a bunch of stuff up. Also anyone know when the ME bite training and decoy training dvds are coming?

I found another tug in the house probably from the regular pet store or the dollar store it lasted about 45 seconds, I used the LB jute one for a couple months, shows good quality to say the least. I am gonna get that mini bite pillow then and some other things possibly a yound dog soft sleeve , anyone use this one, also did she already out grow this one, LB says not to use this one with adult dogs, should I go up to the next one. She is 9 months and 80 lbs.

I am extremely interested in Mondioring it doesn't seem to be as big on the east coast, French Ring is also a possibility. (im guessing "TD" means trained decoy correct me if im wrong) The answer is no I do not have a decoy yet, I am starting to look around, if anyone knows of a good one in the New Jersey area, please let me know, I am in the central Jersey area but I would not mind a little travel and, I would much rather get a recommendation then just pick someone that I know nothing about.
