Playing on swings... one of my favorite memories of being a little kid was playing on the swings with my mom.
So was picking flowers. Most of what I picked were weeds, but it was still fun for me. If there are flowers in bloom, have them picking flowers, and keep a couple to dry for them.
Maybe just sitting on a blanket with mom reading a book to her. Or sharing an ice cream cone. The simple, everyday things are the ones I remember as being special...
Ask mom what she would like to have her daughter remember.
Thanks for the great ideas everyone...I will definitely be using some of those! We had to push the shoot back to Wednesday afternoon because Mellissa (the mom) is so weak and sick from the chemo and the weather was really cold this weekend. It's supposed to be a lot warmer on Weds. so I'm praying she will be strong enough to get through it.
I back up all my pictures digitally and will also give the family several CD copies to keep. They should last a long time and I am also making them a printed album that will last pretty much forever.
What a sad, sad situation. If it is still cold on Wednesday, shoot inside. I KNOW it is not ideal, but some photos inside are better than none outside, just in case. I hope all goes perfectly for you guys on Wednesday!
