That was one of the perks that I loved about being a Warrant Officer, being call "Chief".
They call me "Chief" too. I'm a Howitzer Section Chief.
Randy - TEDD=Tactical Explosive Detection Dog
OPSEC=Operational Security - we can't talk about For Official Use Only or Secret stuff here.
CPT Martin - I went to Ft. Sill for BASIC, and did upwards of 400 pushups a day, sometimes a lot more and it only got harder when I came to a line unit. You really learn to embrace the suck on the line.
Dennis - thanks for your service. It takes all of us to get the job done. I stop the Joes when they complain about other jobs not being as important as ours. We all have to eat, get where we're going, act on carefully interpreted intel, and put on freshly laundered tan t-shirts.

David
No longer a Cpt., David. Left after my 8 years. Ft. Sill was one of the hardest for basic from what I understand. I went to Ft. Dix - not so tough (at least I didn't think so). Joined when I was 30 and went thru basic with all those kids. It did make me old enough and smart enough to stand in the back and keep my mouth shut.
Tidbit for you.....a very dear friend of my husband's family (boyfriend of his cousin's) is Tommy Norris - the Navy Seal LT. that commanded the Bat-21 rescue mission in Vietnam and Congressional MOH recipient for that action. Amazing, amazing man and just as down to earth as you would expect. I have a couple of books that he's signed for me. One is a Bat-21 book written after the mission was declassified, the other is the most current MOH book he gave us for our anniversary a couple of years ago.
Great man. I'm always in awe of him (much to his chagrin).
