Good idea doing the video! I have had people curious as well. Capone gets fed in his crate and always waits for me to walk away before starting to eat. Not sure why, I've never taken his food away. Wonder if I could get him to let me video tape.
I feed twice a day because capone has a sensitive stomach and if I feed one large meal he gets loose stools and gas. If I know its going to be a heavy training day I skip breakfast and use the treats as his first "meal"
Raw feeders: how do people normally respond when they find out you feed raw? I have not had one single person interested in even trying to go raw after explaining it to them. I think most don't believe me that its safe and or just think it would be too expensive or take too much time. Anyone successfully changed a kibble feeder into a raw feeder?
Well, I have tried to convert some kibble feeders, and almost succeeded. But the convenience of putting the kibble in the bowl was what they settled on. I did however get them to change to a much higher quality kibble.
My favorite explanation has always been " well, you don't see the wolf or the coyote making a kill and stopping to roast it over the fire now, do you?"
I would feed raw if I were not traveling all the time and if I lived in the same place with a freezer. I also can´t see doing it cause I think if would be very expensive. In Mexico and Guatemala I get bones from the butcher fairly cheep but I could not go back and forth from raw to kibble so I have just stayed with kibble even though I know it would be better to do raw. Very nice video pretty dog!
