Ahhh, I got some good advice from ya'll ( and a big thanks to Lynne for helping me behind the scene ) and Fetz has his ear now in a moleskin taping, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
He didn't even growl at my vet during the procedure, I do all his restraint and he behaved really well, all things considered.

Good luck Will. I've never seen a hematoma like you described not result in the pirate dog ear flop look on a pricked eared dog or cat for that matter.

Do you have pics of the process?
No pictures, but I'm picking out an eye-patch and parrot for Fetz next week......

I was wondering how Fetz’s ear was “holding up” . I have used moleskin foam after an ear crop, hope the taping works . Dealing with hematoma’s stink, not to mention, the scar tissue /cartilage leftovers. I have a Persian cat that has had them, she now looks like a Scottish Fold.
Good luck!
