I am also taking everyone else's advice. That woman can sit on a pricked bush I am done. Kelly, yep she is the type to not take to kindly to even a nice conversation about e collars. Oh well. I will have a well rounded dog in the end and I pray she doesn't have a law suite on her hands becuase someone got bitten.
Side note: I get to haunt the boards again!!!! My school schedule finally allows it!
Have a little fun with her... add a spiked collar next time.
On Mary, or Finn?
Boy that would bring back high school memories. But do I have to brake out the leather coat, heavy eyeliner, etc? Some of those old piercing holes have closed lol. I need to be respectable now. Lol, oh and act my age lol

People are idiots I was trying everything I could do one day to try and get my Rottie back in the car back in my SUV and she was being her usual stubborn self. The harshest thing I did has give her 1 correction on her regular collar - not even a prong. Some lady drove by me and started screaming about how cruel and abusive I was being and that she was going to call the cops on me. I yelled at the top of my now very frustrated voice
" and tell them to send a K9 officer cause I sure HE'LL be able to get her in the damn car!!!!"

Mary, just wanted to join the chorus here... (and, BTW, wow, is Finn big now!)
Take a couple of deep breaths and ignore. Glad to see you posting!
I like Barbara Schuler's idea. Just add a huge spiked collar.
Also I think she can complain after you have given your neighbour a correction at level 127. Till then she has no business. Just Ignore her. This is not the first idiot you have met and it will not be the last.

I took Jethro in for a weigh in at the vet's office and was doing some desensitizing exercises before heading out and a woman came in. "What a handsome dog!" she says. I saw her react when she noticed his prong collar. She offered this unsolicited advice, "You can put that on inside out and he will still think he is wearing it." Thank you! I hadn't thought of that. I work with my dog many hours a day and you have met him for less than a minute! Off we go...
hahaha I have been informed on multiple occasions that prong collars should be fitted with the prongs facing out.
The dirty looks for giving a leash correction Ive gotten used to.
After taking my dogs to a park I had a Lady come and stand just within sociable limits and stare at me talking to herself, evidently, about how cruel I was. When I loaded the dogs up, she came up to the back of the truck and started asking my shepehrd if she was happy and other insinuating comments. My dog put on a good show, barking wickedly. I usually wouldnt allow that sort of behavior but I was enjoying it this time. It reminded me of that saying I saw once about hating dog people because they had dogs because they didnt have the gall to bite people themselves
I had a neighbour actually put a curse on me and me dogs, saying that they should die in a month. This was 8 months back :P . Their dog jumped the fence and attacked mine on the road, I wacked him with my switch and sent him away. She was all upset and crying that I whacked her dog.
Oddly I dont see her dog anymore. Not sure if she still has it.
