Also, I see they come in different sizes. Can anyone tell me if any of the sizes (without the string, of course) are compatible with the tennis-ball sized Chuck-It ball launcher? I don't have much of a throwing arm, so I'm no fun for the dogs to play ball with unless I have a little assistance.
No, the sizes are not compatible with the chuckit. Chuckit balls are 2.75 inches in diameter. The small orbee is 2.25 inches and the medium one is 3.25 inches.
Great toys, but not compatable (drives me nuts!!) I do love the fact that the chuckit rebounce balls have holes in them so I can easy add a rope for tugging.

Edit reason: more info
Thanks, Aaron and Mara, for the sizing info. That Wood-Chuck is really nice-looking, but when I see how muddy my plastic Chuck-It gets, I'm not sure I'd want to mess the bamboo and cork up that much!
I replace the string first thing with a softer line, and retie the knots so I've got a better handle.
Does anyone have a pic on how they re-tie there orbee balls I think I heard Ed say on one of my videos that they have a video on how to re-tie them but I could never find it... Also curious if anyone has used or seen the jute ball on a string that gripper sells just found it yesterday when I was on there website. http://gripleash.com/training.html
Just 2 overhand knots- one close to the ball, and one at the end of your rope. I think it gives a better handle to tug with. Orbee knots Another view
I've also used figure 8's, but I think they are too bulky. (And my rope was too short, so I ended up having a ultra short handle, and I'd get nailed by my dog w/ not so great aim...Ouch)
