I should have mentioned that I'm dealing with a dog who won't eat his veggies or fruits. I think I'm going to have to get creative in putting veggie mash in stuff to disguise it.
I have such a weird dog. He's one who won't clean up crumbs on the floor, won't eat popcorn, and sleeps while we're eating at the table. No begging, no interest. He has QUITE the sweet tooth, though. My mom loves to feed him donuts when she's in town.
Are you sure you have a LAB?
If you've got any local second hand stores you should be able to pick a blender up for really cheap. Or just try a potato masher
I got a food processor at a garage sale for $2. I use it for veggie slop and catfish bait. If you get a food processor, make a small batch of veggies with liver, the liver should get em
It's a mini Cuisinart. For me, price was a consideration, but so was counter space. This thing is quite small compared to your standard food processors. Of course, being small, you can only do a bit at a time, so if you are making a huge batch, it will be time-consuming, but I'm feeding two large dogs, and this works fine for me.
If you want really cheap, a knife and cutting board work for many vegetables. I should mention I cook all the vegetables first, so they get pretty soft. Some of them, like broccoli and cauliflower, I do on the cutting board since the Cuisinart makes them too mushy for my liking. But green beans are tough and fibrous even after cooking, so I always use the Cuisinart for them.
