There was a female wolf in Yellowstone that weighted in at 150 lbs after feeding, up about 15-20 lbs from her previous weight. All elk meat. For many wild canids, especially those that feed on large game, gorging is a natural behavior, and actually more natural than two small meals every day. She slept on her back with her feet in the air, looking completely content of course. She pooped this morning and it was a little soft, but not bad. Love that girly dog like crazy, so I'm relieved she doesn't seem affected by her splurge. http://www.laforgemalinois.com
