Bogie does the shake 'n kill thing with toys by himself. He also plays tug with one of the Shih Tzus on occassion. He will also throw things up in the air and chase them as they land.

Not that I don't believe in crates -- my dogs have just never needed one. I have small Shih Tzus and Bogie's only about 30# so they are fine separated into rooms or outside if I need to keep them apart for some reason.
