She rode along with me in the car today. she loves that even if she just sits in the car. And it kept her away from the evil construction noises at home.
Tonight we did our sheep chores (I let her gather them out of the barn) then just wandered around the farm a bit. Planning on doing the same tomorrow with a camera this time. Probably shear sheep tomorrow too. She likes to lay there and stare at them while I shear - she thinks shes helping.

Mara, my heart is heavy for the situation you are faced with. As other have mentioned, there is a bitter sweetness though, knowing that Missy has you.
Such a wonderful girl you have there. From the reactive 3 year old you brought home to the stable right hand gal she is today. Sheep herding, SAR, Therapy work and I’m sure the list goes on. What an amazing girl!!
She’s living proof that with the right environment, these guys hold a bounty of promise in those seemingly unstable packages we first take in.
How proud you should be Mara, not only of the dog Missy has become but also of yourself. You’ve provided her with the life she needed to grow and the conditions that have allowed her to be successful in all that she does.
She’s a shining example of her breed. It’s such an honor to know her, through you, sharing her productive life.
