Well we just got done with day 3 together and he is doing very well. Already looking to me for direction and bonding with me. My previous gsd wasn't in as tune as he was which is great. I suspect possible bloodline and breeding. He also has an impecable nose. I live on 14 acres on a mountain and when taking him from a walk he picked up a scent of a hound and about 300 yards into the woods we came up on the dog which I didn't know what he was after. Im looking forward to living a life with him but know I want to take my experience and his training to the next level, just don't know where to start once we full bond.
Va summers are murder, people forget we are on same lat as Africa and just as humid as anyplace tropical.
Uh, Dennis, what part of Africa would that be? You might want to take another look at a globe or atlas. Sorry for going off topic, but I couldn't let that one slip by.
I do believe you, though, that Virginia summers are very hot and humid!
Both Tunis North Africa and Norfolk Virginia are on 37 Degrees North Lat

Agreed! But Tunisia is the northernmost country in Africa, and Tunis, Tunisia is almost (not quite) as far north as you can go in Tunisia. So 99.9999999999999999 percent of the African continent is further south than Virginia. I'll grant that you are right on a technicality, but the implication of your statement could be a little misleading.
In case it's not clear in the typewritten word, this is all in good fun. It just happens that geography was one of my favorite subjects. I should have gotten a job with Rand McNally.

Tunisia is .5% the Land mass of Africa not .000000000000001 %

I have no excuse for not knowing that! BUT, I was referring to the entire portion of the continent south of Tunis, the city, so I think that is probably closer to 99.999999999999 and not 99.5.
I guess my finger accidentally got stuck on the "9" key. I've been typing too much today. Doing a rush job this weekend and took a break to check in with my Leerburg friends. And SOMEBODY has to give me a hard time.
