Connie, thanks so much for your time. Well, I called for the results and was told they were very busy and would call me back but they didn't. So I will have to followup tomorrow.
I have been reading up on poop myself and read about Giardia and thought that could be the cause, it's definitely yellow in colour and if I were a vet I might automatically test for that but I won't know until tomorrow........ Devils.
dog doesn't seem to be loosing weight, blood work was done last week and came back not too bad, there was something that indicated something was not quite right but nothing major, possibly allergy related as I recall. That's one of the reasons for the rice diet.
Sandy is in good spirits, he's just wondering where his kibble is.
The vet has the blood results. From what I remember he was pushing getting Sandy's teeth cleaned and was trying to blame any diarrhea on Sandy needing a teeth cleaning, although his teeth aren't in too bad a shape. It seems to me that after a teeth cleaning Sandy would still have diarrhea, just a feeling I got.
Can I feed him rice and canned tuna for a change perhaps?
I called the vet back this morning, no vet available to talk to me but the receptionist said no Giardia.
I did break down and mixed in about 5 kibbles of his dry food yesterday and he stank like high heaven again a few hours later so his bad gas has to be related to that food,it surprised me that so little of that food would have such a reaction.
My other recently rescued dog has no issues with that food, she initially had bad gas but that went away in about a week. I don't think they make that food in a turkey blend, I might look for some turkey kibble and try some of that on him and see what happens.
Thanks for listening.
Hopefully the vet will call me back and tell me what to do next, otherwise I will have the test results sent to another vet and start over with someone new.

You have a copy of the blood results?
I would like to suggest getting invoices for all tests performed and copies of all test results. I do anyway, but with a vet who doesn't call you back to answer questions, I'd be even more adamant.
