Jamie, this is going to come back to you in a good way, you have stepped up and given this poor dog his life back, thank god for you, and Gambit will thank you too, FINALLY someone who will love and nurture him for what he is - a living soul with endless love and trust for a human being that doesn't measure his worth in $'s.
I would give my right arm to have my boy back, happy, healthy and the pup he started out as; Gambit doesn't understand he is being discarded by the home he has so massively disappointed, but he WILL understand the home he is going to gives a genuine toss about him and his future happiness, and you will get that non-monetary investment back in spades.
You are a good person, probably the first the dog has known, no agender, no absurd expectations, just a safe pair of hands and a second chance of a life full of love that he has been denied.

She certainly does.
From "To me he's a money pit ... I guess try to return him to the breeder. I'm sorta scared to do that though. A friend knows the guy and said he may just put the dog down. I don't want to see him die. I'm trying my hardest to find a home. I even thought about going to the pet store and putting up a flyer. It's that or the pound. I've called rescue places. Everyone is full ... " to his new chance of rescue from a good person. This is Gambit's life she is rescuing.
This is hard for Jamie to work out, in several ways, including a major drive, and one thing we probably should not do (as PMs to mods from folks on the thread suggested) is give this or any thread a chance to turn damaging.
