The bow thing was too funny, sat here laughing.
My first dog I made the mistake of always asking for a series of behaviours in a certain order. So i ended up with a dog who would recall when told to come - would then sit in front, give paw, lie down and then roll over - I had to retrain a recall with a different word of command.
With more complex behaviours I am also in favour of keeping the verbal cue out of the way. Any way good luck to the OP.
Whoever had Zephyr before me overtrained the sit. I've had her a month and a half and she still doesn't do a stand without sitting first unless I have her in a down and stick a treat under her stomach. The other stuff has died down so sit isn't her default anymore but getting anything not involving a sit was a trick there for a while.
I haven't named it because it's just not consistent. I'm actually going back and going to retrain with a different hand signal because I get frustrated every time she does it. Do yourself a favor and don't name it until it's always right.
