The first treatment was with Flagyl and was 5 days. The second treatment was a month later and we used Furazolidone for 10 days. I spoke to the vet in person today and he suggested trying panacur for 5(? can't recall the exact day, didn't write it down) days in a row. He also suggested putting him on probiotics, which I've had success with before, but haven't tried with Radar.
Radar is going through a 30 pound bag of kibble in about 20 days. That comes out to just over 4 cups a day. How much HK would I feed a dog eating that much? I'm willing to pay the money if it's not the majority of his meal, so that it lasts longer.
If Radar has recently had troubles with his gut, I would for sure get some good enzymes as well as probiotics in him to see if that helps.
But also, I know that giardia can be a hard one to treat, so I would get that checked out first, and then in addition, use the supportive care to help make his gut strong and healthy again.

I have had great experiences using B-Natural's Digestion blend with my GSD who has EPI and other digestive problems. It has all kinds of goodies in it for soothing and improving the digestive system. Just something else to consider
If you have a big box store nearby you really don't need to buy in huge bulk to feed a dog raw. Chicken thighs are pretty cheap at Sam's Club and Walmart. Some grocery stores will save backs for you if they do their own packaging.

My Corgi has IBD and the only things can eat is THK Force or Embark. It's pretty close to out of my price range too but it's the only thing he doesn't vomit or have diarrhea with. I'd highly suggest mixing it if you can.
