The preview issue happens for me in Explorer. On my phone in Safari, the function works.

Quick Quote has not been working for me not sure for how long since I just tried it today. When I click it I get the Quick Reply text box.

I've just done some experimenting. If I use AOL, doesn't matter which computer I use, "Preview Post" does not work.
If I use IE, on my old desktop with Windows XP, it still does not work. In fact, everything on the site runs so slow, I would be forced to give up LB if that was my only option.
Using IE on my laptop with Windows 7, the "Preview Post" function does seem to be working.
The slowness issue seems to be on both computers, although understandably the laptop is quite a bit faster than the desktop. However, I am not having a problem with slowness on any other sites I visit.

I just realized that when I try to use the 'Preview post it doesn't work for me either.
Is there something I can do, or do I need to get with Bobby to resolve this problem.
Thanks in advance,
ETA, using Mozilla browser. I am a bit computer illiterate so, forgive me if Mozilla is not a browser...

Mozilla is a browser. I'm using Safari. I can no longer "preview posts" either. Bobbi is watching this thread.

I would not be able to stand it either if I had to use Explorer. I tried it on a new PC at my daughter's house ..... every site was great except this one. Going from page to page in this site, including outside the forum, was an exercise in frustration.
I know that it's frustrating to the IT folks working on so many changes, too, and I almost hate to keep adding items. But I also know that the LB folks want this all fixed and are working like heck on it.

When I was doing some of that beta testing, before the new site launched, I was having a lot of different little problems. Bobbie asked what version of IE I was using. It was 7 at the time and she linked me to 8. Once that was installed, swish, no more of those little issues.
Other than just some, I'm sure, program limitation functionality, the site seems to run quite well for me.
I'd really like that feature, that brings you back to the post you were looking at when you sign in, to be working again though.
If I say it enough, Bobbie might get tired of hearing it and humor me.

Ah the joys of the Internet -- code once, debug everywhere.
I'm still getting that flash on some browsers where I'll get a display of page elements for a second or so and when the various CSS styles are applied, the page is redrawn to display correctly.
I suspect that it may have something to do with the external links to the Google font server and the CSS links in the middle of the <body> </body> part of the HTML code.
Looking on the Google site, that seems to be an expected behavior for the Google fonts.
https://developers.google.com/webfonts/docs/technical_considerations
It does take a non-trivial amount of time to open a connection to Google, fetch the font file, decode it and then apply it to the page.
That's also one of reasons, all those cute dog photos many people use in their sigs can really slow things down. Not noticable on a T1 line, a giant PITA on slower connections.
Before the upgrade, we used to be able to turn those off. The setting is still there but it no longer has an effect.
Font problems are why I tend to stick with the standard Helvetica (Arial) and Times-Roman fonts. They are available everywhere and are predictable for the various PDF renders and web browsers.
FWIW, I would put these items in the Round2It category aka 'not mission critical' just mildly annoying

Helvetica (Arial) and Times-Roman fonts are built into windows, your browser wont need to get them externally. and lol the entire page is between <body> </body>
Everyone including the Leerburg folks need to be patient, unless you know alot about site design. These days with all the different browsers, monitors (lcd & crt are very different, and yes some people still have crt monitors). All the different programming languages they are using here .php html 4 & html 5, i believe i even detected some ajax working. It's not as easy as it used to be by any means. You dont just do your layout in Dreamweaver, Cold Fusion, Flash or Flex for mobile devices and say wala. Your webserver stats should give you insight to what browsers most people are using, try and accomodate those first, then tweak the site to be cross platform compatible.
Believe it or not some people are still using IE6. People running XP could be running IE 6, 7, or 8, Win7 users IE 7 -9beta.
It's a hair pulling fiasco for any webdesigner. I used to be one until I could no longer keep up with all the technologies by myself. Keep in mind sites like msn espn msnbc & the like have MANY people working on their sites. Its not as easy as making a few CSS pages & linking them to your site then just throwing your text up .... here you have a BBS (bulletin board) you have a on demand video section then a products/sales pages ... you really have like 4 different types of websites integrated into 1.
Not sure how many IT people are working on leerburgs site but imho, theyre doing a damn fine job ... be patient!!!
There are some things showing on areas of the site that they simply do not need to be, eg. the PayPal, MC Visa, Shopping Cart & Checkout buttons at the top do not need to show on the Webboard page.

I have no problems being patient, none at all.
I appreciate just how technical things can be etc.
I was just asking if there was something I could do.
I am one of those clueless computer users, seriously,
haven't a clue. Lol, RC, to me your post is like a foreign language
