Cat is home and resting. The surgery went well. My vet said that the Pyo was very small and there were no complications. When she called me after the surgery, she told me that Cat was sitting in the corner on a blanket with her front legs splayed out and her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth. Yep, that's my Cat
We got home about 2 hours ago. She is firmly planted on the bed. We've had a couple of potty breaks, and she's seems to be doing well.
Toni and Drift have been banished to their crates until Cat gets a little more steady on her feet- Drift was so excited to see her that she almost knocked her down.
My vet let me stay with her this morning until the pre-op drugs started to take effect. They set up a soft little "bed" for us on the floor of the exam room and we snuggled until she got sleepy.
When they led her out of the room I started to cry, and my vet gave me a hug and told me that she would treat her like her own child. She's the best vet in the world- that's why I drive an hour to get to her... She's going to a baseball camp with her son this weekend, but told me if I have ANY concerns that I am supposed to call her on her cell. My dogs and I are lucky to have found her 16 years ago.
So, I'm gonna go back to my spot on the bed next to Cat and snuggle some more. I will keep you all updated.
What great news! I'm so relieved for you. I'm glad to hear Cat got through the surgery and is resting comfortably. I'll be waiting anxiously for another update tomorrow.

Ah, your bed. Trust me on this: Don't leave her there alone unless you have a wall on one side and can make a barrier on the other (chairs, etc.). Same with the couch .... you want to stay right there.
No unblocked access to stairs.
This should for all of tomorrow, too.
It's just a little unsteadiness, and it's not at all uncommon.
