I was driving on a 3 lane road with a lot of traffic during rush hour and there was a family of ducks that were getting ready to cross. I scared them back into the woods and never saw and ducks on the road after that...
Another time it was 3 kittens and they were not so lucky. makes me so mad how people can dump innocent kittens.
I always wonder if the moms have had enough and are trying to get rid of them! One year, there was a Pheasant hen with 12 chicks. It was like clockwork- she woud wait for me to drive by on my way into town at noon and I would always hit the last chick. I would slam on the brakes- she would slow down and run them under my truck, I honked, nothing! Finally after 10 chicks, I took the long way!
