Canned plain pumpkin (NOT Pie filling) will help with the runs too Kristi.
mix a couple Tablespoons into the chicken and rice.
She is thin, but omg she is a cutie!
love that face.

I'm not overly concerned with her pedigree. It really doesn't matter in the long run, I am just curious. Either way she is who she is =) Thanks for the replies! Got some Rice and chicken in her for her first meal, I am doing 4 small meals a day for now, until she gains some more weight.
And calcium.
Unless the diarrhea resolves quickly, you'll want to get calcium into that binding diet. Got any eggshells to grind? Post if you need to keep her on this diet more than a few days so it can be calcium-supplemented.
Good plan .... tiny frequent meals. Did I miss a check for worms? (I sure wouldn't rely on the breeder.)
ETA
I see you have a sample for the vet. I had missed that.

Oh Kristi, she is absolutely gorgeous. Cute, cute, cute.
I think you'll probably get some good information from your vet today. Bloodwork, poop and x-rays can sure tell them a lot pretty quickly. Mind you, in her condition, I don't know that an x-ray would tell much more than is pretty easily seen from the surface, bone structure wise anyway.
Gosh she's thin.
I'm sure you'll have her in top shape in no time and it sounds like she couldn't have asked for a better home. Congrats on the little one!!

Oh yes I forgot to say I was putting pumpkin also. If I have todo this for more than a couple days I will add calcium. I think once I get the poops under control I'm going to transition her to either raw or honest kitchen. Depends on what the diagnosis is. She goes bonkers when I pull out capones raw food. Jumped up yesterday and ripped the bag! Lol
Thank you everyone. I have an appt at 10am.

I'm banking on parasites of some sort.
I might not spend money on Xray myself.
Make certain that you hold her well enough so that the vet can really listen to her heart.

Back from the vet. Everything checked out good heart wise. She is a little dehydrated from diarrhea. Poop sample results will be back by thursday. Got Metronidazole as a precautionary I guess. If things dont start clearing up in a couple days blood work is next.
I really feel like the main problem is starvation. She probably got the diarrhea from too rich of food/change in food. She goes INSANE when food is around. I tried to give her a piece of chicken and she literally took a chunk out of my finger trying to get it. I am still bleeding from it. She eats like she has never seen food before.
I believe the breeder did not do his job in protecting these puppies. It's obvious puppies were fighting for nutrition, maybe mom didn't have enough milk. EIther way there should have been supplementation going on, vet visits. After I emailed him reguarding my concerns over just how thin she was, he told me he had started giving them ground beef to beef them up. UM HI TOO LATE!
I want to make a complaint about him to the AKC, or anywhere else I can. Is that possible?

GOt two meals of rice/chicken/pumpkin and probiotics in her and her stool is a chunky pudding vs liquid like it was.
ETA: I contacted him via email and none of the pups were taken to the vet!

She's a pretty girl even if horribly thin. I would be embarrssed to put pics like that up. It's also obvious they were freshly bathed before the pics, too. It can be hard to keep puppies clean, I know, but at least let them dry before taking their pics!
We once got a pup from a breeder on a trade/stud dog deal (sigh, don't ask...) and when we picked her up.....OMG! She was like this girl - skin and bones and fluff. When asked about it, we were told that they scattered the kibble around to "teach them to track". In other words, the strongest puppies got to eat and everyone else starved! She had no parasites (amazingly) but was just suffering from agrocery-osis! She matured fine if a bit small, but I think she would have been fairly petite anyway. The metronizadole is a good idea just in case for giardia. Unfortunately, every dog I have seen deprived like that as a pup has ALWAYS eaten like it's their first and last meal they're ever going to get. She looks like she's in good hands now! Good luck with her. Should be no training problem with her food drive anyway!
While every one has mentioned calcium, I would far recommend going with powdered milk rather than a calcium supplement tab (PetCals and such). I have seen some real problems with over supplementation of calcium in that manner. The powdered milk lets them absorb what they need and won't overdo it.

A friend of mine is fostering a pitbull puppy who came to her weighing only 13 lbs at 6+ months old. She has now doubled in weight. Jen has her eating raw and the difference is simply amazing. She has developed so much in the last few weeks - she now looks like a 7/8 month old pup, whereas before she looked so immature and yet had this mouth full of adult teeth.
I hope food is all that your pup needs!

I hope so too. I'd be even more careful than usual that a raw (or homecooked) diet was balanced for a dog with a rough start like this. No adding "extra" protein or fat or anything else that will throw off the balance. (I know you know this .... just a reminder. )
