And Tera looks and sounded like an exceptional pup. She carved a beautiful spot in your heart. She's probably beaming with pride, just like we are.

Tera sounds like a great companion. I had a dog like that a while back, probably 10 or 12 years back. He did just what I would tell him to do. this was before I knew how to train dogs. He loved to make people laugh and would go to great lengths to make my son and his friends laugh like crazy. the more they laughed the sillier he got. Look some of my younger pups under his wings and loved them. Unfortunately he died of a strange disease like lupus in humans. The vet tried to explain it to me. One day he was fine, the next day he was ill, the next dead. His red blood count went way down, the vet said it was an illness common to bearded collies. He was a mix but must of had that in him.
He would tell me when the phone rang when I got home and would take me to the phone if someone left messages. My husband used to leave messages for him, when we had the old kind of message machine where you could hear the message being left. Anyway, now Bindi is my special dog. She is very very good and longs to please and is silly.
I believe God gives us dogs to bless us. And they sure do. I have only lived without a dog for a short time and didn't like it. I really enjoy sharing my life with my pups.
