last summer , i had a sock disappear , not in the laundry lol .
i had a sneaking suspicion of where it might have gone , but had pretty much written it off . three weeks later , henry puked up the whole thing . threw it in the wash and it's good as new .
i was surprised that thing sat in his innards for that amount of time with no apparent ill effects , i'd just figured he'd passed it out either end somewhere way sooner .

Dropped him off and had to come back to work. They're going to hydrate him and watch this afternoon. Waiting to see if he can pass it himself.
Still no distress. No vomiting. Desperately wants to eat and chase a ball.
And I'm sure that in dog-thought, "WTH?" is going through his mind.
"I'm fine! What's THIS visit all about?!"

In my experience, including one surgical outcome with no pun intended, if the dog doesn't present with any lethargy or other pronounced signs of distress, the stuff will probably pass.
I have one that every now and then just loves to tear up and lunch up on a towel. A day or so later, there's the torn up towel shreds. And he had to have surgery to remove a large chunk of rubber ball when he was a puppy. You'd think he'd have learned.
Unless the object is large and obstructive, the dog will probably be able to eventually pass it.
Vigilance is prudence but it is amazing what a dog can eat and pass.
Good luck.

I just had to share this,
A guy walks into a bar with his pet monkey. He orders a drink and while he's drinking it the monkey is running wild. The monkey jumps up on the pool table and grabs the cue ball, sticks it in his mouth and swallows it whole. The bartender is livid and says to the guy, "Did you see what your monkey just did?" "No. What did that stupid monkey do this time?" says the patron. "Well, he just swallowed the cue ball off the pool table, whole" says the bartender. "Yeah, well I hope it kills him because he's been driving me nuts," says the patron. The guy finishes his drink and leaves. Two weeks later he comes back with the monkey. He orders a drink and the monkey starts running wild around the bar again. While the man is drinking his drink, the monkey finds some peanuts on the bar. He grabs one, sticks it up his butt, then pulls it out and eats it. The bartender is disgusted. "Did you see what your monkey did now?" he asks. "What now?" responds the patron. "Well, he stuck a peanut up his butt, then pulled it out and ate it" says the bartender. "Well, what do you expect?" replied the patron. "Ever since he ate that darn cue ball he measures everything first!"

Well...since we're all sharing similar stories, I just got a new foster dog today. Was told one of his bad habits is eating dog beds, bedding, etc. So today, when he had his first BM in my backyard, I ended up having to "help" him by putting a baggie over my hand and pulling out a foot or so worth of some type of fabric, all twisty and mixed with the poop, but it appears to have all come out. He's had a second BM since then, with nothing in it.
Hope Turbo will have the same type of result!

Another eeewww!
I once got to make the phone call to some owners of a GSD we were monitoring for passage of a FB, to say," uhmmm.... you remember those paisley satin boxer shorts you haven't seen in a while? I've got them for you".
(unfortunately, I was also the one who got the "stick and rinse" duty in the first place, so it was only fair I got the fun part, too!)

Went ahead and picked him up vs. leaving him overnight.
Still no rope.
Vet suggested surgery in the AM if there is still no rope.
So, that looks like the plan. I'm not very excited at the moment.

Hmmm, I don't think I've ever uttered these words on a public forum before, but I'm praying for poop before the morning. He hasn't had a BM all day, right, Michael? Nothing at all since eating the rope?
