i wanted to add a point to what has already been said .
when you are developing your dog , there will be some new behaviours that you are rewarding at 100% schedule , while at the same time there will be behaviors that are better developed that have gone to a variable or random schedule .
this adds to the " slot machine " view the dog has of you , because they don't discriminate one behavior from another . . . they just see each as an opportunity for engagement , and a ( possibly ! ) rewardable moment .
