Nylabones...I have used their products for over 30 years without a problem. There are instructions on the package where if the bone starts getting worn, it needs to be replaced.
I do use marrow bones and large bones in the evening for the dogs. But these only when we are home, only raw, and outside.
for you nylabone users: which ones do you prefer? I was at store and there are many options. favorites? I know it is probably different with each dog but just curious which ones your dogs like.
It was brand new...I had just taken it out of the package....examined it to see that it was now damaged in any way & gave it to my dog. He inky chewed it for 5 min ties when I saw thAt he had broken a large.piece off.
It really sounds like you got a defective one Anne.
Daniel - I don't use the little bone shaped nylabones. Dogs can chew those too well IME. I buy the big ones that they can just gnaw on and not really get all the way in their mouth to go to town on. I give them digestible stuff like bullies for that kind of chewing.
But I also have to amend what I said. My pit bull will go through a Nylabone much quicker then other dogs. So for her GoughNuts are much better. Each dog is different.
Monitor any dog with any new toy to make sure it works for them.
