An update. Logan had a successful surgery a couple weeks ago, and we got his sutures removed today. The pathology report says the larger of the lesions was a dermal hemangioma, which is benign (as opposed to a hemangiosarcoma), and the surgical excision is considered curative, although he may be prone to developing more of these as time goes by, so we will have to be extra vigilant about doing skin examinations.
The smaller lesion was consistent with an epithelial hyperplasia and hyperkeratosis, which the vet said was completely innocent and benign.
He's doing great. Even with sutures at both the front and back corners of his eyelid, he's never once tried to scratch or rub his eye. He never had to wear a cone (yaaay!). He didn't mind me putting in the antibiotic ointment three times a day for a week. He's just always a happy, cooperative dog. I love my boy!

Oh, thank heavens for the GREAT path report, Cheri !!!
Please give Logan lots of Lovin' from me & my Dobies, and here's to a Happy & Healthy 2016
Thanks, Candi! I tried to send you a p.m., but I have been unable to use that feature for some time now. Anyway, I basically was thanking you for the good wishes for Logan, and wishing you and your family a Happy New Year, too!
