I obviously didn't get the sense of bragging correctly. Translated into German it has a negative connotation. As if someone were very much exaggerating things, so that he adds untrue parts to the positive facts. That's why I said, Bob is not bragging. If in English this word has simply the meaning of being very proud of something, then of course Bob has a heap of good reasons to brag. I used to be able to at least scare them a bit but now it's "Oh POP" with lots of giggles and laughs. Then they run like hell. I just give them cookies now......if there are any in the pantry that the wife hid from me till they come over. My son just shakes his head and asks "where was all this motivational training when I was a kid". No respect at all! old dogs LOVE to learn new tricks
