Christina, one of the MAJOR things I like about LB, aside from good information is nobody feels the need to cause a flame war simply because they disagree with someone else's opinion.
We listen to one another as much as we talk with one another.
Believe me, that's NOT the norm on other training forums on the web.
Not that there hasn't been the occasional poster that tries to wear us down with their "yes but" response to all our suggestions.
Those folks pretty much get bored and leave when they see they aren't successful at starting a fire.
Bob, I can only underline this. I don't visit many forums, because lots are just worthless chit-chat, boring and a waste of time.
The only ones I use actually is this Webboard and the forums when I take a LB course. Here I know I'm in good hands. I've always recieved help or other inputs. Disaggreeing was never a problem. Why the heck should we participate, if we don't want to hear different opinions? They
broaden our horizon.
What I love apart from other things so much about this Webboard is that I can come without hesitation and without feeling embarrassed with the most foolish questions - and I'm sure to have already posted various ones which must have sounded stupid for a more experienced person - but I never recieved a negative reaction, on the contrary. I recieved advices, also critics but positiv and encouraging ones.
Sorry for being a bit wordy, but this Webboard really earns praise. When in my mind a light has not yet risen, there will certainly be someone who ignites it.
What I also do love immensely is, that I've until now never met any know-it-all or busybody here, who'd fight endlessly for the wisdom he has eaten.
Not to forget: the great great layer of wit, which makes the whole thing so cozy here.
Fim of the canticle!

Thanks Bob,for all the time and effort you put into this forum for others! Tonight was a lot better with hubby and Lundy. We talked when he got home and he put those things into action and Lundy listened a lot more. One of hubby's problems is that he gets up at 5 and goes to work all day so when he gets home he's tired - puppies sense easy prey! But Lundy has been here a month now and I've been working with him every day and he's come really far for 12 weeks - he loves marker training and is willing to learn anything.
We owe it all to this forum and the teaching of others for the past 8 years!
Looks like your husband takes well to his Training, LOL.
My dogs ALWAYS know if I'm exhausted or when I'm distracted...
