Not the weather to be spending a lot of time in direct sun, I'd say. And since I think we share a few philosophical points, and are of a certain age, I'd say your Bride's voice is an echo of mine.
Was pulling down lath and plaster at the cabin the other day, consuming water and sports drinks, and still got light headed and shaky. And I was indoors out of the sun most of the time, except when filling the 20 yard dumpster with debris and junk. Reminded me I needed to work at a slower measured pace than when I was younger. Who wants to admit that?
I am reminded of the old saw, 'old age and treachery will always beat youth and exuberance.' And there ain't any prizes for getting stuff done faster.
Mid 90s, and humidity in the 50s as I type. It is easy to get to doing stuff and forget the integration of fluids, and the need to break up the doing of stuff with a rest, until it gets problematic.
I was smart enough to leave the dogs home, in the AC.
Hope you are feeling better, Bob.

Blacking Out and Vomiting are 2 SIGNS that indicate your system is starting to Deteriorate from "simple" Heat Exhaustion to SERIOUS Heat Stroke -- Please do NOT subject Yourself to that which you would NOT subject your Dogs !!!
Age catches you in the heat.
Took two days to recover from the baling of hay in 110 degree heat index, even with an air conditioned rig for part of the day.
Ahhh, what a wonderful relief this morning! A cold (well, more like a not-so-hot) front came through last night, breaking eight days of 90-plus temps with unbearable humidity. The dogs and I have been housebound for most of those eight days, going outside just for the necessities. no play sessions. They sort of accepted it but were not happy. So we've got maybe three days of more tolerable weather here, then it's back to the 90s by the middle of next week.
Both my dogs are seniors -- and so am I -- so this really hot stuff is getting harder to bear with each passing year. I've always found Michigan winters difficult, and now the summers are getting increasingly tough. I'm down to about two or three months out of the year that I can tolerate.
