VanCamp, I think you'd do okay as long as your old battered body could keep up with the dog. Maybe you should try a potbellied pig instead. I've seen one do agility. You should be able to keep up with one. Their SSSSLLLLOOOOWWWWWW enough. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
I didn't say she had to start doing the agitation, she may grow into it though. Lets face it is often difficult to find a good female agitator <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> .

VanCamp, That was in response to your admission you might start agility next year. It was a joke. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I honestly thought you were a lot older than you are based on all the sage advice you give out. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Go for it, VanCamp, agility is a blast!! Don't let 'em tell it's only for weenies. It's a heck of a lot tougher at the upper levels than I ever gave it credit for. The beginning level is so easy, you think there's nothing to this. Wrong! I've got one in novice and one in advanced, and if I could win the lottery and stay home all day, I'd do both Sch and agility. It's a real challenge to both my brain and bod.
Try it, you might like it. Anytime a spectator sees a well trained dog competing in any sport (any breed), but particularly their own breed it might inspire them to do the same. The more people that train their dogs and get involved in dog activities the better. The public needs to see good examples, particularly of the protection type breeds of dogs.
I'm only sorry I was never able to devote the time to compete with my dog due to some major family illness issues. He was great.
Sage advice, huh? Well, I'll take that as a compliment. Everything I know comes from someone else that took the time to tell me. So I'll pass that compliment along.
I know numerous people in agility. It is totally inducive, fun training. Even some of the hardcore compulsion ob trainers do it. I guess they haven't figured out fun works in ob also. My understanding, in Great Britain, BC's run in their own seperate class they are so far ahead of everything else.

I would think a high wired Mal would be super. The dogs are classed by height.
