Todd, I knew you would get in on this topic.
My pup was born in USA. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> ( I have a hillbilly pup from Tennessee)
Both parents from Europe. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Now if I bred her to one of your pups that both parents were born here. Would that litter would be AMERICAN WORKING LINES!!!
ONLY IF THEY TURN OUT TO BE WORKING LINE DOGS Right?
Todd, you being a breeder, just how long do we need keep from saying there are AMERICAN WORKING LINE DOGS.
Sorry about getting this thread OFF TOPIC! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
Started a new thread AMERICAN WORKING LINES.
Again, sorry. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
What makes you think I would want to breed to a hillbilly? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Anyway, as a breeder/realist(oxymoron) and someone who would also like to sell the pups, as well as have them compete, I would say the are Czech lines until I have a name for myself and they can stand on their own. then they become Americanized.
Johnny, It will most likely cost between $800. and $2000. USD for a good working quality Dobe pup. Depends on titles on parents, local stud or Euro stud, etc. There are some very good breeders in the US and Canada with Dobes that can work. Buy from someone who's breeding stock is from working lines (many generations), not show lines (American or otherwise). Obviously there is more to it than that when choosing a good pup, but it is a place to start.

Johnny,
I know of a few excellent Dobermann breeders in the states, but I have already been warned before not to post litters on this forum without permission.
I don't know what price they'll ask for, but will probably be around $1,500.00
You can e-mail me privately (private message) or to p.urquijo@wanadoo.es and I'll give you the info.
I believe you can mention breeders just not advertise litters or dogs or the like. I could be wrong as I am not a moderator, but we talk about breeders all the time.
Kimberhell is no place to get a puppy from for anybody. when i picked up my puppies from my vet last wek they just had their ears done. my vet told me someone brought a puppy in from thier that had a military cut that was really butchered bad they cut the tip of the ears off made it straigh across. Dr Inkly told him to take it back.
The German's think their own dobies suck and many consider American dobes to be of better quality. Needless to say, I was *AMAZED* to hear this.
I was told that by both Bernhard Flinks and Alex Beyer ( a top level DVG helper from Berlin ) this week.
And no...I'm not kidding. If two of the truely upper level trainer/handler's from Germany say that , it might be worth re-thinking some of our bais against the American dobe.
Not that I would ever own one myself! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
