Steve... impressive work for a one year old on the video. Your helper was putting a good bit of defense into your dog and I did not hear any growels or insecurity on the bite... very good grip too!! I like that dog!!
Well in that video he was only 10 months old, that was from July. Yea he is truly something else. And that was hardly any pressure like he is used to. He always bites hard, full and calm. I had a KNPV helper work him this past summer and he was shocked, he still talks about him. He said he hadn't seen a Dobermann like that, and was even further surprised that he was only 9 months old at the time. I have started narcotics work with him, I am hoping to train a dual purpose K9. I swear he has drive like a Malinois during drug work. He will not stop, very high hunt drive. I start the police academy in January, and want the experience of training a K9 now. Maybe I will get a chance to work this dog, maybe not. But since I want to be a K9 handler, I decided this is the best way to learn. Another local K9 handler helps me out too. I have trained in schutzhund for the past 5 years now. I will title him in schutzhund too.
