thank you for the guidance. I will try your ideas. And yes I do have a prong, but I usually only use it for formal training, not whenever she goes out. Do you suggest that I leash her at all times for now, even to go out to eliminate? If so should I use the prong? What should I do with the tri -tronics collar, if anything?

I also have a super prey motivated GSD and this has works wonders for me. I
use a simple obedience routine that is incorporated into all play sessions. The end
product looks like this: I use the sit stay or down stay and then throw the ball.
Release the dog with Ok. Dog brings ball back. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat Then
intermittently do the same thing but when the dog is halfway to the ball do a recall.
Dog returns to handler, does a sit stay then released with OK--dog gets ball and
returns to handler. I do this almost every day and it has carried over remarkably
well in my control away from my home at the parks etc. At this point she is reliable
off leash where ever I take he. It's a great routine because the dog is burning
energy and at the same time your gaining control. I started teaching this with the
long line and ecollar (both on at same time using the long line first to teach
behaviors.) As far as the obediance specifics, I use the techniques taught on
Ed's basic obedience tape (great tape).

wow, what a great idea! I am excited to try it, I'm sure my dog Bella will love that!
I went to obedience school w/ her today and she was not so bad, but annoying that she won't look at me.I tell her "watch me" and she can't be bothered! Instead she watches me 1/2 w/ her peripheral vision and 1/2 trying to anticipate my next move!
My 10 week old pup went too. He observed and socialized today. He was very good, yapped alot though.(he quit that after a few gentle reprimands)
Do I need to worry about him being possibly cryptorchid if his testicles haven't dropped yet?
